Casual Friday: Fourth and Farewell

The Byrds – Turn! Turn! Turn!

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

I’m not sure why I had to post the lyrics and youtube video for that song, but it was the first thing that I thought about.  The Houston Chronicle wrote on Wednesday that Arnie “Peanut Dude” Miller passed away at the age of 61 after a battle with heart disease.  Peanut Dude, you will be missed.  A quote from the article:

“At heart, he was an entertainer,” said Marty Price, the Astros’ vice president of guest experiences. “He was part of the show, and he got a rush out of entertaining people in the seats. He was a guy who enjoyed life and did amazing things for charity.”

Several family members attended Wednesday night’s Astros game, where the team honored Murphy with a video tribute that noted his charitable efforts on behalf of the Sunshine Kids.

“He absolutely loved the Astros organization and this ballpark,” said his sister, Shannon Jones. “He lived for what he did, and he adored what he did for the Sunshine Kids. It filled him with joy.”

I know at times it seemed that I liked Beer Dude more than you.  It was all an act.  I was just trying to make you jealous.  Sure, Beer Dude might be selling the libations that lead to my drunken enjoyment of the game… But, you had flair, Peanut Dude.  You could sling a bag of peanuts better than Roy Oswalt ever could.  I’m not just saying that either.

Too pick everyone back up from that Debbie Downer moment I’ve included an unrelated video:

WHACK-A-KITTY!
