The one where you don’t kill the dream, you execute it

- But, if you shot a half inch the other way you would have missed completely.
The run that Vegas enthusiasts drool over has finally ended. Bemidji State fell to Miami (Ohio) on Thursday. Fair the well, Beavers. You gave all of us a little hope. You made us all care about college hockey (for a second and a half). Thank you, Beavers.
Miami (Ohio) will now face Boston University in the finals.
That’s all I got. I figured I would try to make up for not posting a Smear yesterday, but now I realize I don’t even want to post one today…
On to the most important Houston sports updates:
Texans - Let’s continue our coverage of the Kubiak Kid up at Colorado State because nothing else is going on. Even the Colorado State coach, Steve Fairchild thinks the CSU offense sucks. Ha.
Rockets - Houston disposed of the Kings last night, 115-98. The win pushes the Rockets ahead of the Nuggets and Spurs to third place in the West standings. We’re just happy to see Carl Landry back on the court.
Astros - Mike Hampton made his first start for the Astros last night. It’s exciting to see such power back in the batting order. Is it bad that I’m going to look forward to every game that Hampton starts this year out of curiosity to see how many home runs he might hit this season? Astros lost last night to the Cardinals, 5-3. Hampton did not homer. Ass-clown.
