The one where the FaF crew’s masculinity is at stake.

You think the outcome is good... but, it's not.
The last C-USA team standing (the only one that was allowed to stand) has fallen in the NCAA Tournament. Mizzou upset the big dogs from our lovely conference 102-91. I’m having a little bit of a hard time wrapping my head around that number. Memphis gave up one-hundred and two points??
After watching three horror shows against the Memphis Tigers this past season against the University of Houston I figured things would end a bit differently. The one thing that separated the Tigers from a lot of the other teams in the field this year was their defence fueled by ridiculous athleticism. They just didn’t come into play last night.
Mizzou had the defending runner-ups as deep as twenty-four points in the hole last night. I suppose this can be seen as some kind of retribution for us C-USA fans that have been suffering point deficits such as that one all season long (for the last 3 seasons, but who’s counting). Memphis got a little taste of their own medicine last night.
But, the worst part about all the happenings of last night is that the only girl (the ONLY girl) in Fourth and Fifty’s NCAA pool is now on top. This can’t happen. This won’t happen. Not that I can do anything to stop it. I think I’ve been mathematically eliminated already… Someone stop this insanity!!!
The following is an announcement from your Houston sports updates:
Texans: I got nothing for the hometown NFL team today… so, wah wah wee wah, look at this… Gary Kubiak’s son plays for the Colorado State Rams. Who knew? Besides people in Colorado, I mean. Because I didn’t. That’s why I’m posting, see? Because I didn’t know. I’ll show myself to the door.
Rockets: Back to the grind tomorrow. The Clippers stand in the way of the Rockets’ winning ways… though, they slouch. Stand up straight. Didn’t your mother ever tell you that? Game is tomorrow in Houston @ 7:30.
Astros: Big happenings off the field yesterday. Boone had his pending open heart surgery and Tejada was sentenced to a year of probation. This all over-shadowed the fact that spring training is still going on and the Astros are picking up the pace and winning a couple games.
Dynamo: The second game of the season is tomorrow (Saturday). The Dynamo will be without Brian Ching “Kong” as he will be fulfilling commitments to the US Men’s National Team as they continue their quest to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. Houston is also in talks to sign Ade Akinbiyi. Wait, give me a minute to Wiki this guy… Ok, here he is for those inquiring minds that need to know. Looks like we might have a real, live British Premier Leaguer on the team soon. I know that gets you excited… I can see that tent’s-a-pitching.
University of Houston: The race to get former Cougar Quarter-B, Blake Joseph, is heating up. Add Miami to the mix of interested programs for the Senior that graduates in May but will maintain one more year of eligibility. He’s definitely making himself, how you say, “too available?” His quote the Fox26 was, “I’m interested in both. If they want to pursue me, give me a ring. I’m open to any team that wants to contact me. I’m more than happy to talk to anybody.” Son, you sound a bit desperate. Nobody likes a desperate Quarter-B. Play hard to get.
