The Texans decided against eating their own, and instead went with the stellar Detroit Lions QB Dan Orlovsky. Yes, this Dan Orlovsky.
Hopefully young Dan’s performance was due to Matt Millen’s inability to draft decent wide receivers for the team. Or an actual team for him to play on.
Orlovsky was a 5th round pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, and has played his entire career to date with the Lions. So really, we picked up a rookie QB without using a draft pick. Not a bad move by the Texans, but will he be able to live up to his predecessor?
Let’s fucking hope not.
